BUTTE -- Lewis-Clark State College swept the men's and women's titles Tuesday at the Montana Tech Invitational golf tournament held at Butte Country Club.
The Warrior men won by 13 strokes over Westminster College, while the L-C State women triumphed by two strokes over Westminster in the 54-hole event.
Rocky Mountain College's women placed third and the men wound up fourth at the season-opening Frontier Conference competition.
Dane Jensen of Westminster was the medalist for the men at 215 (75-72-68). L-C State's Idah Whisenant (74-75-82) and Westminster's Mari Hutsi (76-78-77) tied for first among the women at 231.
McKenzie Webinger led the Rocky women at 235 (74-81-80). Teammate Katy Peterson finished with a 236 (79-79-78).
On the men's side, Rocky received a 220 from Daniel Thompsett (74-73-73) and a 221 from Cody Scheierman (76-75-70).
Rocky will be golfing in the MSUB Invitational Sept. 20-21.
