RAPID CITY, S.D. -- Rocky Mountain College's Kirsty Montignani posted her second straight hat trick and the Battlin' Bears defeated Dakota Wesleyan 6-1 in women's soccer Sunday.

Montignani scored her third goal of the game in the 66th minute after an alert play by goalie Malin Johansson. Johansson saved a shot attempt and spotting an open Montignani downfield, booted the ball over everybody to her. Montignani would score on the play and Johansson was credited with the assist.

Overall, Rocky kept the pressure on Dakota Wesleyan with 32 shots, compared to just 11 for the Tigers. Lauren Brophy added two scores for RMC, including a penalty kick in the 74th minute.

Montignani, a senior midfielder, now has 13 goals on the year.

The Battlin' Bears (7-0-1) next games are Sept. 28-29 in Prescott, Ariz.
