Another Rocky Mountain College cross country runner has earned a trip to the NAIA championships Nov. 20 in Vancouver, Wash.
Ana Richter, who ran in high school at Billings Central before transferring to a school in Texas her senior year in 2009, is the fourth RMC Battlin’ Bear to qualify, coach Alan King said Monday.
“Lewis-Clark is ranked 20th in the country and is going as a team and that opened up more individual spots and as far as individuals that qualify now that makes Megan Beam my first girl and Ana my second girl,” King said.
Beam is a former Billings West runner. Also advancing to nationals for the Bears are Noah Kiprono and Robby Baker.
King said the four individuals earning the right to run at nationals mark the most the Bears have advanced in the history of the fourth-year program. The previous high was three last year.
