As part of Rocky Mountain College’s Parents and Families Weekend, a food drive will be held in cooperation with Family Services, Inc. to collect canned goods during a variety of home sporting events this weekend.
“We’re excited to team up with our friends from Family Services to help struggling families as we approach the holiday season. We hope people coming to our games will pitch in and donate canned goods to help the less fortunate in our community,” said Robert Beers, RMC athletic director.
Family Services, Inc. will place collection barrels at Fortin Center on the RMC campus for canned goods to be donated and will also bring a truck to campus for the Saturday football game and the Sunday soccer game where canned goods may be dropped off.
The schedule for the food drive includes the men's basketball game against Montana State Billings on Wednesday night, the volleyball matches against Montana State Northern on Thursday and the University of Great Falls on Saturday, the football game against Carroll College on Saturday and the women's soccer match versus Carroll on Sunday.
