ASHLAND, Ore. — The Rocky Mountain College football team erased a 14-0 deficit but dropped its fourth straight game, falling 21-14 at Frontier Conference foe Southern Oregon on Saturday night.

The Raiders (2-4, 2-3) embarked on a seven-play, 66-yard drive that culminated in a five-yard touchdown run from Hykeem Massey that broke a 14-14 tie with 1:12 left in the game.

Rocky (2-4, 1-4) took less than a minute to get into SOU territory and reached the 20-yard line with five seconds to go. Kamden Brown, who replaced starting quarterback Drew Korf with 0:31 left, threw two straight incomplete passes to end the game.

The Raiders scored a touchdown three minutes into the game and completed a 98-yard drive with another score to go ahead 14-0 with 2:27 left in the first quarter.

The Battlin' Bears cut the deficit to 14-6 on a six-yard pass from Korf to Josh Kraft with 7:22 remaining in the first half.

The score stayed there until the 9:03 mark of the fourth quarter, when Rocky's Devonte Woods blocked a 45-yard field goal attempt and John Tia returned it 62 yards for a TD. Kraft ran in the two-point conversion to tie the game.

The Battlin' Bears forced a three-and-out on the next drive and got the ball at SOU's 20-yard line thanks to an 11-yard punt. Rocky lost six yards on the drive, and Riley Garrett missed a 43-yard field goal.

Korf completed 22 of 44 passes for 218 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions, and Lucas Overton made 11 receptions for 147 yards.

Massey rushed for 132 yards on 21 carries, and SOU quarterback Wyatt Hutchinson was 12 of 23 for 177 yards, two TDs and an INT.

The Battlin' Bears will play at MSU-Northern on Saturday. Rocky beat the Lights 53-34 on Sept. 7 at Herb Klindt Field.
