Rocky Mountain College players swept the final Frontier Conference football player of the week awards of the season.
Kasey Peters was named offensive player of the week for his role in Rocky’s 34-28 road win over Eastern Oregon. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound senior quarterback from Newport Beach, Calif., completed 19 of 29 passes for 276 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown.
Eric Buer received the defensive award for intercepting two passes with a total of 50 yards on the returns. The 5-foot-9, 185-pound senior defensive back from Huntley Project had four solo tackles and one assisted tackle.
Rocky kicker/punter Derek Carothers was named the special teams player of the week. Carothers, a 5-foot-10, 170-pound sophomore kicker from Sutter, Calif., had eight punts totaling 264 yards and made four of his five PATs. His six kickoffs totaled 319 yards.
