Sky Gabel, a 5-foot-9 setter/hitter from Casper, Wyo., has signed a letter of intent to play volleyball next season at Rocky Mountain College.
Gabel helped guide her team at Kelly Walsh High School to the 2010 4A state championship.
“Sky comes to us with a great deal of experience and a winning program,” Rocky coach Laurie Kelly said. “She has been chosen for (United States Volleyball Association) high performance camps all over the United States. She has been well coached in high school and in club and has experience in setting and hitting.”
Gabel was a three-year starter at Kelly Walsh, which captured state championships in 2008 and 2010 and took third in 2009. This past season she was selected to the 4A All-State team.
She is a four-sport athlete lettering in volleyball, soccer, basketball and track. Gabel also has a grade point average of 4.0 and is a member of National Honor Society.
