DICKINSON, N.D. -- Esther Timofeyev and Ahlea Billis combined for 21 kills Saturday as Rocky Mountain College opened Frontier Conference volleyball play with a 25-13, 25-27, 25-20, 25-10 conquest over Dickinson State University.

Timofeyev finished with 12 kills and Billis nine for Rocky, now 1-0 in league and 5-9 overall. The Battlin' Bears have played all 14 of their matches on the road.

DSU is 0-1 and 2-7.

Jamie Elenbaas finished with 24 digs and Michaela Hale 20 for the Bears. Tori Bertsch had 21 assists, while Bethany Moullet added 19.

Moullet also had three aces. Anna Dewald came away with four blocks.

"I thought we had a pretty powerful offense and our serve receive was up a little bit," Rocky coach Laurie Kelly said. "It was a nice all-around match for us."

DSU was led by the 13 kills and 29 digs of Melissa Avila.

Rocky will play at Montana State Northern on Friday and the University of Great Falls on Saturday.
