The Montana State Billings softball team hosts nationally-ranked Western Washington Saturday and Sunday in Great Northwest Athletic Conference doubleheaders at Cenex Stadium.
The games are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. both days.
The Yellowjackets (15-17, 10-10) rank fourth in the nation for home runs per game (1.34) and are 29th nationally for slugging percentage.
The Vikings (26-5, 14-2) are ranked 19th in the country.
Kelly Parsons is hitting .414 with 10 home runs for MSUB and ranks seventh nationally for slugging percentage (.914). The senior catcher also ranks 21st for home runs per game and 20th for total home runs.
Teammate Kaycee Hoffman is hitting .353 and her 11 home runs rank her 12th nationally. She also has a team-high 32 RBIs. Meg Harasymczuk has nine home runs this season and is hitting .381.
The Vikings are led by pitcher Erika Quint, who won her first 19 games of the season before losing to Chico State last week. Quint has six shutouts this season and has a 1.16 ERA. She has allowed just 25 total runs in 133.1 innings and struke out 180.
WWU is hitting .301 as a team.
