SPOKANE, Wash. — The Montana State Billings women’s team placed a league-high nine student-athletes on the Great Northwest Athletic Conference all-academic soccer team.
Three members of the Yellowjacket men’s team were honored.
The women selected are Jennifer Larsen, soph., 3.8, general studies; Lauren Anderson, sr., 3.79, human services; Kristen Kastelic, soph., 3.75, business administration and marketing; Samantha Boehm, sr., 3.73, public relations; Carly Valentine, sr., 3.7, human services; Andrea Baytaluke, soph., 3.6, health and human performance; Courtney Harvey, soph., 3.51, biology; Kari Foreman, sr., 3.5, public relations; and Adrienne Biglow, soph., 3.41, elementary education.
The men honored are James Henry, sr., 3.75, history; Cory Champney, soph., 3.42, business administration/accounting; and Chris Andre, sr., 3.35, business administration.
A total of 76 student-athletes — 53 women and 23 men — were selected from the six men’s teams and eight women’s teams. To be eligible for the GNAC academic team, student-athletes must have a minimum grade point average of 3.2 and be in at least their second year of competition at their university.
