BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- Jackie Rothenberger homered in consecutive at-bats and drove in seven runs to power Western Washington past Montana State Billings 9-4 in GNAC softball Thursday.

The second game was halted by rain. The teams play again Friday.

Rothenberger belted a three-run homer in the first inning and a grand slam in the second inning.  The consecutive home runs and seven RBIs ties WWU records. Rothenberger walked in her final two at-bats.

Kelly Parsons hit a two-run home run for MSUB in the second inning and Bobbie Lee had a two-run homer in the fifth.

Vikings' starter Erika Quint pitched her 15th complete game of the season to her record to 21-1. WWU (28-7, 16-4) is ranked 20th in the nation.

Following Friday's games, the Yellowjackets (19-19, 14-12) play at Simon Fraser on Saturday.
