Monica Grimsrud of Helena and Butte's Quinn Peoples have signed NCAA national letters of intent to play for the Montana State Billings women's basketball team next season.
Grimsrud will also play volleyball for the Yellowjackets.
"I'm excited to have both Quinn Peoples and Monica Grimsrud join our basketball program next season," said MSUB head coach Kevin Woodin. "They are both outstanding student-athletes at their respective high schools. I look for each of them to make a positive and immediate impact on our program. They are both very versatile players and possess tremendous work ethics."
The 6-1 Grimsrud recently helped Helena High to its first Class AA state volleyball championship. She is both all-state for basketball and volleyball.
The 5-11 Peoples averaged 16.4 points and 6.8 rebounds a game last season for Butte Central. She helped the Maroons reach the Class A state tournament for the first time since 1982. She will play both guard and forward for the Yellowjackets.
