NAMPA, Idaho -- Jaucelyn Richter's first goal of the season lifted the Montana State Billings women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Northerwest Nazarene Saturday afternoon.

It was the sixth shutout of the season for the Yellowjackets (8-0, 4-0). The eight straight wins is the second-best start in program history.

Richter, a senior forward from Billings knocked in a header from four yards out midway in the second half off a cross pass from Katlyn Lokay.

Richter now ranks third all-time for points, trailing Brittney Sandau (76). Richter also ranks fifth for career and game-wininng goals at MSUB.

Freshman goal keeper Aiko Johnson had four saves for her eighth shut out of the season.

The Yellowjackets play at Simon Fraser (Thursday) and Western Washington (Saturday) this week. MSUB has won nine straight dating back to last season.
