UW exhibition game on Wind River Reservation

LARAMIE — The Wyoming men's basketball team is taking its game to the Wind River Indian Reservation.

As part of a Nike-sponsored Native American outreach program, the Cowboys will play Fort Lewis College in an exhibition game Wednesday night at the Wyoming Indian High School in Ethete (EE'-tha-tee).

Fort Lewis is a small college in Colorado and a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The Skyhawks were 16-12 last season.

Wyoming is coming off a 21-12 season. The game is one of two exhibition games for the Cowboys before they begin regular season play Nov. 10 at home against Western State.

The Wyoming Cowgirls held the first of their two scheduled exhibition games on Monday night, beating Dakota Wesleyan 78-53.
