BOZEMAN — Montana State put five players in double figures on its way to an 82-74 win over UC Riverside Sunday night in Worthington Arena.
Montana State (7-6) was paced by Beata Bak’s team-high 19 points and eight rebounds. The Bobcats also received 15 points from Sarah Strand and Katie Bussey. Erica Perry (11) and Ashley Albert (10) also reached double figures.
Montana State took its largest lead of the game at 53-36 on a Bak 3-pointer with 17:32 remaining. The Highlanders pulled to within five with two minutes remaining, but would get no closer.
Alyssa Morris had 20 points to lead Riverside.
Montana State opens its Big Sky Conference season on Friday against Weber State.
