POWELL, Wyo. (AP) — Six Northwest College men's basketball players are accused of participating in a fight and three of them face criminal charges for allegedly beating up a college wrestler.

NWC interim athletic director Dana Young says the six athletes were put on "disciplinary suspension" and basketball coach Andy Ward says three of them have been dismissed from the team.

The dismissed players are Demetrice Jacobs, 20, Valdez Green, 19, and Dwayne Patterson, 19. They each face a battery charge for allegedly assaulting a NWC college wrestler. The three other students were not named because they have not been charged.

Authorities say the fight began Saturday night at an off-campus party and then continued at the campus.
