FORT COLLINS, Colo. — The Wyoming women's basketball team outscored Colorado State 16-4 in the first quarter en route to a 60-49 road Mountain West Conference win Saturday.
The Cowgirls (14-5, 7-3) shot 47.7 percent from the field and 53.3 percent (8-of-15) from 3, while the Rams (8-14, 2-9) shot 37.8 percent and 23.1 percent (3-of-13), respectively.
Marta Gomez led Wyoming with 20 points on efficient shooting (7-of-8 from the field, 4-of-5 from 3-point range, 2-of-2 from the free-throw line). Bailee Cotton added 12 points (2-of-7 on field goals, 7-of-8 on free throws) and seven rebounds.
CSU's Liah Davis led all players with 21 points and nine rebounds.
