RICHMOND, Va. — Indoor Football League commissioner Tommy Benizio announced on Friday that the four teams scheduled to play road games at the Alaska Wild after May 15 will be awarded forfeit wins.
The Billings Outlaws were scheduled to play the Wild on Sunday, May 16, but Billings canceled its trip to Anchorage when the team announced three days before the game that it did not have enough players to field a team and could not pay for the Outlaws’ travel expenses.
The IFL shut down the Wild franchise earlier this week. La Crosse, Kent and Tri-Cities all have remaining games scheduled at Anchorage, and all three will be awarded forfeit wins. The league announced that a replacement team will be used to play Alaska’s final road game, which is June 12 at Tri-Cities.

The Outlaws play at Kent, Wash., this Saturday, then have a bye week before their next home game on June 12 vs. Sioux Falls.
