KENNEWICK, Wash. — Quarterback Patrick McCain scored on a 3-yard run with eight seconds to play Saturday night to lift the Tri-Cities Fever over the Billings Wolves 47-41 in an Indoor Football League game at the Toyota Center.
Billings (1-2) had taken a 41-40 lead over Tri-Cities (1-2) with 19 seconds remaining on a 26-yard touchdown pass from Dak Britt to Austin Coleman.
Scoring the winning touchdown capped a big night by McCain, who passed for 119 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for 46 yards and two more scores.
The Wolves trailed 40-21 early in the fourth quarter before rallying with three consecutive touchdowns.
Britt passed for 152 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed for 89 yards and another TD.
Britt, who was intercepted four times, threw three of his scoring passes to Marcus Barnett.
Billings will be at home next Saturday to host the Spokane Empire at 7:05 p.m.
