CORVALLIS, Ore. — Tyler Graham of Great Falls was selected Wednesday by the San Francisco Giants in the Major League Baseball amateur draft.
The Oregon State sophomore outfielder was taken by the Giants in the 19th round and was the 566th player picked. It's the second time Graham has been drafted. He was chosen in the 14th round last year by the Chicago Cubs, but chose to return to OSU.
Graham was one of nine Beavers to be selected in the draft, which was held Tuesday and Wednesday.
Oregon State plays host to Stanford this weekend in a best-of-three Super Regional series, with the winner advancing to the College World Series in Omaha, Neb. Red Lodge native Nolan Gallagher, who played for the Billings Scarlets in 2004, is a pitcher for Stanford.
