MISSOULA - The Montana Grizzlies will play an 11-game football schedule in 2009, featuring six home contests including four against Big Sky Conference teams and a non-conference game against Cal Poly.
The Grizzlies begin their conference slate on Sept. 19 with Portland State, while other league matchups at Washington-Grizzly Stadium include Eastern Washington (Oct. 17), Weber State (Oct. 31), and Northern Colorado (Nov. 14).
Montana's homecoming game against the Cal Poly on Oct. 10 features teams that were ranked No. 2 and No. 10 in The Sports Network's final FCS poll last season.
Montana opens the season on Sept. 5 at home against Western State (Colo.) and then travels to face UC Davis on Sept. 12. The Grizzlies' Big Sky road games are at Northern Arizona (Sept. 26), at Idaho State (Nov. 7) and at Montana State for the 109th Cat-Griz game on Nov. 21.
UM has an open date on Oct. 3.
