MILES CITY -- Ashlee Janitell led three players in double figures with 16 points as the Miles City Cowgirls defeated Billings West 49-45 in a non-conference girls basketball game on Friday.

Kaylee Swope had 13 points and Tess Blaquiere added 10 for the Cowgirls of the Eastern A, who avenged a 21-point loss to West earlier this season.

Miles City improved to 6-5.

Three players also scored in double figures for West of the Eastern AA: Brianna Robinson had 12 points and Jessica Golubski and KC Christensen added 11 each.

West (7-5) had 31 turnovers.

"Miles City came out and they were very aggressive on defense caused us to obviously turn the ball over way too many times," West coach Randy Chase said. "We made it a game at the end, we just couldn't get over the hump. We had some turnovers at the end and just didn't execute down the stretch."
