BUTTE -- Janiel Olsen recored a double-double (12 points and 12 rebounds) while Danielle Muri scored a game-high 15 points to lead No. 2 Billings West to its 16th consecutive win, 56-46, over Eastern AA rival Butte on Saturday night.

The Lady Bears (13-0, 6-0) used a quick 8-0 run out of the gate as they built a 19-6 advantage after the opening quarter.

"We came out and played extremely well in the first quarter," said Billings West head coach, Randy Chase. "Butte took us out of our game plan a little bit in the second quarter but the girls kept their composure when (Butte) cut into our lead."

Hattie Thatcher led Butte (7-7, 4-4) with 11 points.

West, whose winning streak dates back to last season when the Lady Bears finished in third place, plays at Miles City on Thursday.
