GREAT FALLS -- The Billings West boys and girls basketball teams rebounded from first-round losses on Thursday to win loser-out games on Friday at Four Seasons Arena at Montana ExpoPark .
West boys 70, Butte 49
Andrew Campbell scored 17 points and Brennan Whittmeyer added 15 as the Bears cruised past Butte in loser-out action Friday morning.
West made 17 of 31 shots in the first half to build a 39-20 lead at intermission and kept pouring it on from there, outscoring the Bulldogs 25-16 in the third quarter. As a team, the Bears made eight of 11 3-point attempts.
Cory Farstveet led the way for the Bulldogs with 14 points.
West will next play the loser of Friday night's semifinal game between Billings Skyview and Helena Capital. That game is schedule for Saturday morning at 9 a.m.
West girls 43, Kalispell Glacier 37

Samirah Dennis scored 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to help lead the Lady Bears past Glacier in a loser-out game Friday.
The two teams played a close game throughout. It was tied at the end of the first quarter, and West held a 23-20 lead at halftime.
It was still a three-point game after three periods, but West was able to finish the game strong to earn the 43-37 win.
Dennis also record four assists and four steals. Mika Robinson scored nine points for the Bears, and KC Christensen added eight.
Cassidy Hashley led Glacier with 19 points and 14 rebounds.
West will play the loser of Friday's semifinal game between Helena Capital and Great Falls on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
