BILLINGS — Payton Meyer of Billings Senior is one of five players to sign NCAA letters intent to play for Montana State Billings softball program.

Meyer, playing second base, hit .413 last spring for the Broncs earning Class AA all-state honors. She also had 22 RBIs and scored 32 runs.

"Payton is a great addition to our roster," said Yellowjacket coach Jessica Rayman. "We are excited about keeping local talent here in Billings. She is a hard worker and will be able to contribute to our team both offensively and defensively."

Also signing with MSUB are: Alyssa Etherridge, Grants Pass, Oregon, pitcher/first baseman; Rylan Austin, Medford, Oregon, shortstop/pitcher; Sidney Pollard, Raymond, Washington, shortstop/utility; Morgan Quimby, Aurora, Colorado, second base/outfield.
