GREAT FALLS -- Stillwater triumphed in three loser-out contests Friday to remain in contention at the State B-C softball tournament.

The Renegades ousted Shepherd 8-6, Glasgow 10-6 and St. Ignatius 7-6 to clinch at least a third-place trophy at the eight-team championships.

Stillwater will face Ronan at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, with the winner moving on to play reigning state champion Florence in the title game set for 12:30 p.m.

A second title game, if needed, will follow at 2:30 p.m.

Ronan beat Stillwater 17-7 during a first-round game on Thursday.

Florence fought off Ronan 10-6 in the unbeaten semifinal game on Friday. Earlier in the day, the Falcons beat last year's runner-up Glasgow by a 12-2 count.

In another loser-out game, St. Ignatius defeated Huntley Project 9-7.
