BILLINGS — A $1,000 wrestling scholarship is being offered in remembrance of former Williston, North Dakota, wrestler Zach Anderson.
The scholarship is available to male and female wrestlers and is open to graduating high school seniors through juniors in college.
Applications will be accepted each year between Sept. 1 and Nov. 1. The scholarship, which provides $500 per semester, will be awarded on Jan. 29 of each year.

Anderson, a 2003 graduate of Williston High School, died on Jan. 29, 2006 in an oilfield accident near Flaxton, North Dakota.
His family said the scholarship was established to help students continue their education.
To qualify, an applicant must have graduated from a high school in North Dakota or Montana and participated in wrestling.
Anderson was a member of the Montana AAU Wrestling Association, USA Wrestling, Team ND Wrestling, Team Montana Wrestling, Williston Taekwondo/Judo and served as a Montana AAU Youth Delegate.
