Ex-Bulls assistant takes Junior C coaching job

Former Billings Bulls assistant coach Matt Frank was recently named the head coach of the Atlanta Knights, a Junior C team in the South East Junior Hockey League.

Frank will also double as an assistant coach for the Knights' Junior B club.

A Billings native, Frank joined the Bulls' staff last year after a four-year playing career at NCAA Division I Ferris State. Frank previously played three seasons with the Bozeman IceDogs in the North American Hockey League.

"I think Matt is going to be an excellent coach wherever he's at," Bulls head coach Mike Hass said. "It's kind of sad we don't get to work with him this year but it's a good move for him. We wish him the best."

Hass said the Bulls have filled their assistant coaching vacancy with Billings native Kyle McGlone.

McGlone played in the NAHL with both Bozeman and Helena before spending three years as a linesman in both the NAHL and the United States Hockey League.
