BOZEMAN - Big Timber guard McKenzie Foster, who will miss much of her senior basketball season with a knee injury, says she'll sign a letter of intent to play basketball at the University of Mary.
Foster led District 5B in scoring last season with 19.9 points per game and helped the Sheepherders to a 44-6 record over the past two seasons. Big Timber finished third at the Class B state tournament in 2007, with Foster scoring 28 points in the consolation win over Missoula Loyola.
Foster played AAU basketball with the Big Sky Hoops team over the summer, but suffered a torn ligament in her knee and isn't expected to be able to play again until February.
Foster says she chose between NCAA Division II Mary and Carroll College, an NAIA team.
