ST. GEORGE, Utah — Montana State Billings lost to Hawaii Hilo 7-6 and beat Fort Lewis College 8-7 in eight innings on Thursday at the Courtyard Classic women's softball tournament.
The Yellowjackets (5-2) will play Western New Mexico and Dixie State University on Friday.
MSUB rallied from a five-run deficit in beating Fort Lewis. Haley Couch pitched six innings of relief for the Yellowjackets to post the win.
Sydney Pollard's run-scoring single put MSUB ahead 7-6 in the eighth. She later scored on a double by Allie Hughes.
Hughes socked her third home run of the season in the loss to Hawaii Hilo. Teammate Brittanee Fisher also homered.
