Sean Cardwell was the overall champion at the Big Sky Challenge Motorcycle Hillclimb at the Billings Motorcycle Club held over the weekend.
The annual event dates to 2005. It was the first time Cardwell, of Billings, has won the hillclimb. It was rained out last year.
Cardwell had a big weekend, also topping the field in the 601cc-open pro-altered class and the 701cc open exhibition. His younger brother, Tyler Cardwell, won the 450cc side-by-side challenge.
Logan Mead of Concord, Calif., raced to the 0-700cc exhibition class championship.
The purse for the hillclimb, the first of the three-part Rockwell Professional Hillclimb Series, was $35,000.
Next up in the series is the 96th Miller Lite Great American Championship Motorcycle Hillclimb at the BMC July 25-27.
