MONMOUTH, Ore. — Sam Zook and the men’s 400-meter relay team joined high jumper Isaiah Girard on the winner’s podium as the Montana State University Billings track and field teams netted three titles during last weekend's Great Northwest Athletic Conference outdoor championships.

The Yellowjackets finished the meet eighth in the men’s events with 38 total points and 10th in the women’s events with nine points.

Seattle Pacific University edged out Central Washington to win the GNAC women’s title for the second straight season with 166 points. Western Washington took the men’s title with 173 points for their seventh victory in program history.

Zook made it back-to-back outdoor titles after taking first place in the men’s 100 in 11.01 seconds.

The Yellowjackets posted a winning time of 41.28 seconds in the men’s 400 relay. The winning team included Kaelen Shay, Zook, Mason Schram and Rahkei Eyer.

The foursome also beat the school record 41.37 seconds, set by Lamont Frisby, Schram, Shay, and Zook last season. MSUB won the men’s 400 relay for the second straight season.

Girard edged out Tyler Cronk of Saint Martin's for the top spot on the podium with a jump of 2.05 meters (6 feet, 7 inches) and set yet another NCAA Provisional qualifying mark.
