The Montana State Billings women's basketball team is asking fans to donate canned food items for tonight's exhibition game against the University of Montana-Western.

The game at Alterowitz Gymnasium will begin at 7 p.m.

The food items are being collected for the Billings Food Bank. Those bringing a canned good will receive one-half off the ticket price.

The Yellowjackets are coming off a 94-71 exhibition win over Rocky Mountain College. Alira Carpenter scored a game-high 29 points for MSUB. Shantell Marquis (16 points, 11 assists) and Kayla Ryan (11 points, 11 rebounds) each posted double-doubles for the Yellowjackets.

UM-Western is 1-1. The Bulldogs defeated Northwest College 77-54 and lost in overtime, 79-76 to Dickinson State University. Alysa Brown is averaging 20 points a game for UMW.
