The Billings Aquatic Club swim team traveled to Gillette, Wyo., to participate in the Candy Cane Open swim meet earlier this month and several BAC swimmers performed well.

In the boys 8-under division, Jack Leuthold won the boys high point award. Leuthold won the 25-yard freestyle, 25-yard butterfly, 100-yard freestyle, and the 10 and under 100-yard butterfly.

In the 11-12 girls division, Taylor Morgan was the high-point winner. Morgan won all 10 of her races in events ranging from 50-yard freestyle to the 500-yard freestyle, as well as two individual medley races.

Overall, the BAC 11-12 girls won 13 races, with Alyssa Boese winning the 200-yard individual medley and the 50-yard butterfly. Abbey Bryan won the 12-under 200-yard backstroke.

On the 13-14 boys side, Bryson Boese was the high-point winner. Boese finished first in four races, the 100-yard freestyle, 100-yard butterfly, the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard backstroke. Boese finished second in every race he did not win.

The next meet for the BAC swimmers is Jan. 8-9 at the Rocky Mountain College pool.
