LOS ANGELES — Former Billings Senior standout distance runner Dani Aragon placed second at the 1,500 meter run at the USATF Distance Classic on Thursday.
Aragon, a 2012 Senior grad, currently runs professionally for the HOKA New Jersey New York Track Club and is in her first year with the club. Aragon ran a personal record time of 4 minutes, 9.57 seconds, finishing just behind Nike’s Shannon Osika, who won with a time of 4:09.38. The time is below the USATF Outdoor Championships qualifying standard of 4:11.00.
The 2018 USATF Outdoor Championships will be held at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa, June 21-24. Check out Aragon's reaction to the race here.

Aragon was a four-time All-American at the University of Notre Dame. Her previous 1,500 PR was 4:12.50, which she ran at the NCAA East Preliminary Round her senior year on May 27, 2017.
Aragon qualified for the 2017 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the 1,500, where she raced against younger sister and Stanford standout Christina Aragon to end her college career.
