COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Brenden Leaming and Elijah Boyd notched second-place finishes for Rocky Mountain College Saturday at the Mountain Lion Open indoor track meet.

Leaming was second in the 400 meters (51.27) and Boyd was second in the 800 meters (1:57.58). Boyd's time meets the NAIA B standard for the indoor national meet.

On Friday, Rocky's distance medley relay placed second with a clocking of 10:28.69. The relay was comprised of Boyd (1,200 meters), Leaming (400), Joseph Vanden Bos (800) and Isaac Petsch (1,600).

The Battlin' Bears' time was adjusted to 10:15.89 for altitude, which means Rocky achieved the A qualifying standard for the NAIA national championships Feb. 27-March 1 in Brookings, South Dakota.
