Longtime Rocky Mountain College ski-racing coach Jerry Wolf has been selected as the coach of the year by the U.S. Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA).

Wolf, who has been coaching the Battlin' Bear skiers for 16 seasons, was recognized recently at the USCSA's annual board of directors meeting in Cummington, Massachusetts.

Rocky's men's and women's ski teams both captured national championships this past season That's the first time the Rocky program has accomplished that feat.

Andraz Reich-Pogladic and Frida Svedberg also took home individual men's and women's combined championships.

"What a great year for Rocky Mountain College," Wolf said in a USCSA press release. "It was awesome to receive the award. I wasn't even thinking about it. Looks like my ski-racing career is complete and I can go out on top into retirement.

"What am I thinking, I'm having too much fun, and I have 10 new freshman recruits coming this fall. I think I will stick around a while and see what happens."
