PENDLETON, Ore. -- Parker Breding made it a family affair, winning the bull riding title at the prestigious Pendleton Round-Up on Saturday.

The young Edgar cowboy clinched the biggest win of his professional career with an 83-point ride in the ifnal round. He finished with 175 points on two rides for $10,182.

His father Scott, one of top bull riders in Montana history, won the Pendleton championship in 1996.

The son set the pace earlier in the week with an oustanding ride of 92 points aboard the bull Tight Rope. However, Breding paid a small price, breaking his nose after the bull tossed him into the chutes on the dismount.

The money won in Pendleton lifts Breding to second in the PRCA rookie standings.

Breding also leads the Montana Pro Rodeo Circuit standings with $11,863 won for 2012.
