RAPID CITY, S.D. — Eric Rose tossed a three-hitter and Brian Dukart and Alex Bushman each drove in three runs as the Billings Scarlets beat Coon Rapids, Minn., 10-2 Saturday at the Rich Hinseth Agency Tournament.

The game ended in the sixth inning because of an eight-run rule.

Coon Rapids collected three hits and scored two runs in the top of the first to take an early lead. But Rose didn't allow another hit the rest of the way and finished with 13 strikeouts. He struck out the side in the fourth and fifth innings.

The Scarlets had 13 hits, including three from Bushman and two each from Dukart and Trent Trier. Rose and Trier each had an RBI.

The Scarlets, who improved to 25-5 on the season, are 1-0-1 in the tournament. Their game Friday against Play Balls Sports of Denver resulted in a 2-2 tie when the game was halted in the seventh inning due to rain. They'll play Cherry Creek, Colo., today.
