The Yellowstone Rim Runners will host the Montana Cup, a team cross country race, on Saturday, Oct. 30 at the Intermountain Equestrian Center, seven miles north of Billings on Highway 3.
Men’s and women’s teams representing Billings, Bozeman, Butte, Great Falls, Helena, Kalispell and Missoula will compete in three age divisions: junior (19 and under), masters (40 and over) and open. Anyone in the state may participate, but they must run for one of the seven teams.
Collegiate cross country team members can run as unaffiliated runners.
Traveling trophies will be awarded to the top teams in each age division and individual awards will be given to the top seven finishers in each of the three age groups. This will be the 19th annual Montana Cup race; the location of the race rotates amongst the seven largest cities in the state.
