The Billings Scarlets amassed 18 hits, including home runs by Kendall Selle and Josh Schoening, in a 17-1 victory over the Butte Miners in Eastern AA Legion baseball at Cobb Field.
Schoenings solo homer came during the Scarlets 14-run fourth, which featured 10 hits. Chris Stinson hit a double for the Scarlets during their big inning.
With two outs in the bottom of the first, Selle connected on his homer to give Billings a 1-0 lead. Selle finished with three RBIs with two of them coming on free passes in the fourth inning as he was hit by a pitch and walked.
Also driving in three runners for the Scarlets was center fielder Travis Sherman, who went 2-for-3 and scored two runs. Stinson and Justin Hunter each knocked in two runners.
Selle and Stinson pitched for the Scarlets and combined for 10 strikeouts.
