Four boxers from Rocky Boy are scheduled to compete in the Feb. 5 Thursday Night Fights show at the Babcock Theatre.
Joe Four Souls (heavyweight), Russell Houle (152), Nathaniel Windy Boy (140) and James Lame Bull (180) of the Warrior Force Boxing Club in Rocky Boy plan to fight in Billings on Feb. 5, according to Four Souls. The four are scheduled to compete in a show March 14 in Rocky Boy that will feature club boxing, pro boxing and mixed martial arts bouts.
"We wanted to get some rust off of us and see where we are in our training," said Four Souls, who has competed in Billings previously. "And we want to check out the competition in Billings."
Magic City Boxing matchmaker Jason Partridge announced on Sunday that Billings will host the Club Boxing state championships in April. Partridge also said that he is trying to get three-time state light heavyweight champion Bryant Acheson on this week's TNF card.
Magic City Boxing presents the Thursday Night Fights each week at 7:30 p.m. at the Babcock Theatre.
NOTES: TNF has featured nine bouts in the past two weeks instead of the usual seven. Partridge said that will continue as long as he gets enough interest from fighters. … The MMA bout on last week's TNF card was a Fusion Fight League title bout, which are usually reserved for monthly Saturday shows. Partridge said it was held last week to accommodate one of the fighters' schedules, as he will not be able to make the next Saturday show. … Anyone interested in fighting this week or on Feb. 5 against the Rocky Boy contingent is encouraged to attend weigh-ins Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at The Railyard.
