OGDEN, Utah The University of Montana’s Sarah Ena and Portland State’s Kelsey Kahle are the Big Sky Conference women’s basketball co-players of the week.
Kahle and Ena led their teams to wins over Mountain West opponents in the first week of the 2008-09 season.
Ena, a sophomore forward at UM, scored a career-high 19 points in Montana’s 71-64 home win over Wyoming last Sunday, in a matchup of two 2008 NCAA Tournament teams. She went 6-of-12 from the floor and knocked down 7-of-7 from the free-throw line. She also added four rebounds, an assist and a steal.
Kahle posted a double-double and was perfect from the free-throw line as the Vikings knocked off Brigham Young 73-64 at home on Friday. The senior forward recorded 12 points and led all players with 12 rebounds.
