LARAMIE, Wyo. — Two Wyoming football players have accepted invitations to participate in postseason bowl games next month.
Senior defensive end Carl Granderson is planning to take part in the 2019 Senior Bowl, which will be played on Saturday, Jan. 26 in Mobile, Alabama, and will be televised on the NFL Network.
Teammate Andrew Wingard, a senior strong safety, has also accepted an invitation to play in January's East-West Shrine Game. That game will be played on Saturday, Jan. 19 in St. Petersburg, Florida, and will also be televised on the NFL Network.
Granderson was a second-team all-Mountain West selection this season. Wingard, a first-team all-conference pick for the past three seasons, concluded his season by tying the Mountain West record for career tackles with 454.
Granderson is from Sacramento, California. Wingard is a native of Arvada, Colorado.
