AMES, Iowa — In claiming its first Big 12 wrestling dual victory of the season on Saturday, Wyoming fell behind twice but used three bonus-point victories to best Iowa State 24-14.

Overall, Wyoming won six of the 10 matches.

Wyoming senior Bryce Meredith scored a first-period pin over No. 19 Kanen Storr in 1:11 to give the Cowboys their first lead of the dual at 141 pounds. Meredith used a single leg takedown early in the first and then made quick work of the Cyclones' highest-ranked wrestler. The senior from Cheyenne, Wyoming, scored his first dual pin of the season as Wyoming went up 9-6.

Jarrett Degen of Belgrade, a four-time Montana state high school champion, scored a 7-3 decision over Sam Turner for Iowa State at 149 pounds. Degen's victory tied the match for the Cyclones.

Wyoming returns to the mat on Dec. 17 at the Reno Tournament of Champions.
