Tailyr Irvine is a photography intern at The Billings Gazette this summer. She’s is a tribal member from the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes. She was born and raised on the Flathead Reservation in Ronan. She is a senior in the journalism program at the University of Montana with a focus on photojournalism. Before The Billings Gazette, she worked as a reporter/photographer for the Char Koosta News in Pablo, Montana.
