In the 24-hour period that ended at 5 Monday morning, Billings picked up .02 inches of rain. And more seems to be in the forecast for the rest of the week, including today.
According to the National Weather Service, chance of rain this morning is 20 percent. Skies should clear a little this afternoon, but by Tuesday morning the chance of rain or snow goes back up to 30 percent. By tomorrow night, it jumps to 60 percent.
But, fear not, temperatures should be mild. At 7:31 this morning, Billings temperature was 25 degrees. At its peak today, the mercury could soar to 57 degrees. Low tonight could fall to 36 degrees, but pop back up to 57 degrees by tomorrow.
Winds will be shifting all over the place. At 7:30 this morning, the wind was blowing from the northeast at 7 mph. Later this morning, it could switch to the east at 5 to 15 mph. In the afternoon, it will be from the southwest at 10 to 20 mph. Tuesday morning northeast winds of 5 to 15 mph will take over.
Roads around Eastern Montana were reported clear and dry on Monday morning, except south of Livingston toward Gardiner, which was described as wet.
