Billings and surrounding areas
Billings Area: Conditions will again be very cool for today and we will have cloudy skies and periods of rain and snow showers as well. Small accumulations are possible on grassy areas. Mother's Day will be nicer as conditions will turn milder and mostly dry.
Montana: Today will be cool statewide with scattered showers for the southwest, southern and eastern areas of the state. A few showers are possible in the northwest and northcentral areas but they will be very scattered and light. Mother's Day will be mostly dry and milder statewide.
Wyoming: It will feel more like Winter than May throughout the weekend. The very cold weather system that has produced the widespread shower activity, will continue to bring rain and/or showers statewide through early Sunday. With high temperatures only in the 30s to perhaps near 40 today and barely into the 40s on Sunday, snow could easily accumulate on the grassy areas as well as into the mountains.
Yellowstone: Snow showers are still likely through about midday. Thereafter, scattered showers for late today and tonight. Scattered snow showers will redevelop late tomorrow after mostly dry conditions for the better part of the day.
Bighorn Canyon: Snow showers are likely until this afternoon with small additional accumulations possible. Tonight and the better part of Sunday will be mostly dry. However, scattered showers will try to redevelop on Sunday night and Monday.
