Want to enter the world of business but unsure where to begin? The business program at City College at Montana State University Billings offers you a starting point to begin your journey toward a two-year business degree or help you build your skills to enter the workforce.
Through the City College business program, students can earn an associate degree in accounting, business administration, human resources and general business.
Students can obtain the associate degree to work toward a bachelor’s in business, through MSU Billings’ College of Business.
Quality education meets affordability
Nicole Bogunovich, a business instructor at City College shares that, “One of the major components that sets City College apart from other institutions is our affordability. Students can access quality education at an affordable price.”
The student body is diverse
Cindy Millard, business instructor at City College, says, “I have students all over the country. I have students that are deployed overseas. I have students across Montana and of course students here in Billings, who are able to take all of their classes completely online.”
Madison Johnson, a student studying human resources, enjoys the option of taking courses on-site or wherever there’s a Wi-Fi connection. “I like the flexibility of being online and on campus because I've been able to work almost full-time this whole semester,” says Johnson.
Small school boasts big support
Millard shares how students can find support. “When students enroll at City College, one of the things we're proud of is that we have an amazing academic support center and tutoring,” she says. “If students get stuck with something that's difficult, they have extra help. We're teaching them the curriculum and arming them with what they need to go out into the business world.”
Human resources major Jessica Stover has found that City College’s quality education led to an exciting career path. “I do have an upcoming job opportunity that I'm moving on to with my human resources career. With the education and the development I've been given, I'll be able to successfully transition into this new role,” she says.
Job placement is a big part of the experience, according to Bogunovich. “Some of the opportunities that students can expect is 100% job placement, and having heard from students that have graduated, some are actually working for some of the top four accounting firms in the United States,” she says.
Starting your associate degree at City College at MSU Billings is an affordable, accessible way to jump-start your career and expand upon your passion for the world of business. Because the program is flexible, with online and in-person courses, it has never been easier to earn your degree.
