Sometimes, stubborn fat sticks around certain parts of your body no matter how much dieting and exercise you do. Looking for a way to get rid of those unsightly bulges that won’t budge? CoolSculpting may be the answer.
This noninvasive fat-reduction procedure is just one of the services available at Central Wellness in Billings, along with injectables, skin care treatments, nanoblading, IV infusions and hormone replacement therapy for both women and men.
“Not all CoolSculpting treatments will give you the same outcome,” Central Wellness owner Janine Griffin points out, “Our approach is three-pronged: a well-trained provider, the newest technology and the client, all working together to create the best results.”
A client always has a consultation, where a personalized treatment plan is developed for them. The provider and the client assess the areas and mark the desired pockets to be treated. Each treatment session maps out the area on the body that is being treated and how many applicators will be attached.
A CoolSculpting session can last from 45 minutes up to 3 hours, depending on how many areas are treated and the number of applicators attached in a session. How does it work? A protective gel pad is placed between your skin and the applicator. Then the applicator’s suction draws the tissue into the bowl of the applicator. The applicator is removed, the skin is massaged to warm it back up and the fat cells that were destroyed are slowly and naturally reabsorbed back into the body.
The FDA has approved CoolSculpting to treat nine different areas including the abdomen and flanks, the jawline, upper arms, and inner and outer thighs.
With the latest-generation technology, Central Wellness clients can expect to see a 20% to 25% reduction in fat per CoolSculpting treatment. Results can appear as soon as three weeks, and full results in fifteen weeks. Most clients treat each area with two treatment sessions, and they are usually treated approximately five weeks apart to achieve optimal results.
“You can feel the tissue as it’s being sucked into the applicator, but it isn’t painful,” Griffin says. “Then you’ll feel cold for up to eight minutes, but after that, the area goes numb, and you don’t really feel anything.”
CoolSculpting clients may be sore for a few days after treatment but are able to return to work and activities immediately following the procedure.
“We just recommend not working out for 24 hours,” Griffin adds.
While CoolSculpting is intended to contour specific areas of the body, it shouldn’t be considered a weight-loss solution.
“We will treat clients’ who have a BMI of 34% or less,” Griffin says. “Beyond that, it becomes more difficult to achieve good results.”
Also, anyone with Raynaud’s disease or an autoimmune disease is not a good candidate for the procedure.
Depending on the number of treatments and the size and number of the applicators used, CoolSculpting costs start at around $1500. For the month of May, Central Wellness is offering a special promotion that allows clients to receive two CoolSculpting cycles free when they purchase six — a savings of $1,500 to $2,000.
“Our CoolSculpting provider has placed over 5000 applications and is continually perfect body contouring. Our staff receives continuing education on the technology at least three times a year,” Griffin says. “The client outcomes we’ve seen have been truly incredible.”
